The library celebrates our wonderfully diverse membership and Richmond World Festival with exciting family based performances and book displays of French, Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Hindi and Filipino materials inside the Brighouse branch. Check out our 3D printer and digital photo scanner too. Let your imagination run at the library!

The Imagination Stage will feature performances on Friday and Saturday including Ginalina, Music with Marnie, Vancouver Puppet Theatre, Purple Pirate, and more! Schedule times will be released soon.

Lawn Library – Minoru Field

Richmond Public Library staff will be on the main festival field from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm with:

  • Dot and Dash mini robots.
  • GIANT Parachute for parents and children to play on and under.
  • Promotion for in-library festival performances, library programs and services
  • Coupons for a chance to win our great Big Library Giveaways – 3 draws to take place in library at the end of each in-library performance during the festival.

Will Stroet

Will Stroet, an award-winning children’s musician, inspires kids to be active, healthy, creative and engaged in the world through educational music in English and French. Will stars in the TV series Will’s Jams airing across Canada on CBC weekday mornings, and in the U.S. on DISH Video-On-Demand and DISH Anywhere.  Catchy and kinetic, Will and his Backyard Band perform a high-energy show for young audiences with fun actions and sing-along choruses.
